Unknown greatness
Kazakhstan is the largest country in Central Asia, yet for many people it remains a mystery. With a history ranging from nomadic peoples to Soviet nuclear test sites, and with over 50 ethnic groups, its culture seems difficult to grasp. In this course, Soviet specialist Peter van Nunen and ethnomusicologist Anaïs Verhulst will offer you some insights.
