3x3: piano trios by three musical greats
Three conversation partners at the dinner table: what kind of conversation will that produce? Intimate and rich, constructive and sparkling. That is amply evidenced by the many piano trios penned by composers from the 18th century onward. In Haydn the cello is still the unobtrusive sister at the table, but when she meets Schubert she turns out to be the life and soul of the party. Either way, this is all perfectly suited to Roel Dieltiens, who takes up this tender challenge, together with Daniel Sepec and Andreas Staier.
