Concertgebouw Brugge selected as Flanders Heritage Venue 2.0

Concertgebouw Brugge selected as Flanders Heritage Venue 2.0

With the Flanders Heritage Venues, in recent years Tourism Flanders has built a network of inspiring meeting locations at unique heritage sites. That network is now being further expanded with '2.0 venues' that offer a special experience apart from the heritage focus. Needless to say, that sounded like music to our ears!

After all, in 20 years and with thousands of events under its belt, the Concertgebouw has not only made a name for itself as an international cultural beacon, but also as a unique venue for congresses and events right from the start. Concertgebouw Events is a separate Concertgebouw pillar, with its own team of experts in event management, hospitality, technical support, marketing and communication. Thanks to this internal know-how, our world-class artistic activities, our architectural uniqueness and our links with the World Heritage City of Bruges, the Concertgebouw has everything it needs to radiate Flanders and allow it to be experienced through high-impact events and congresses.

'Now that conference tourism is back in full swing, we are also putting these 12 new venues on the international map to strengthen Flanders' innovative capacity as a conference destination.'

– Zuhal Demir, Flemish minister of Tourism

The international jury of the selection process for Flanders Heritage Venues 2.0 rewarded these assets and selected the Concertgebouw for membership of this network. We are in excellent company, by the way. Among others, MSK Ghent, De Grote Post in Ostend and our Bruges colleagues from the BMCC and La Brugeoise can also call themselves Flanders Heritage Venue 2.0.
