On 27 and 28 March 2026, the Nephrology and Infectious Diseases Department of AZ Sint‑Jan Hospital organised its fourth international symposium at the Concertgebouw.
More than 150 doctors and other specialists active in the field gathered in the Chamber Music Hall to hear about new findings from leading colleagues. The presentations were interspersed with networking moments in the Foyer Parterre, where participants could continue discussing the topics addressed. Caterer D’s Deldycke added flavour to all networking breaks.
For the fourth edition of the Renal Conference, the organising team succeeded in bringing together a high‑quality and diverse panel of speakers. Johan Kips, strategic adviser to Federal Minister of Health Frank Vandenbroucke, closed the first day with a forward‑looking talk on the future of Belgian hospitals.
With the technical support of Aventix, renowned specialists joined live from abroad to address the audience. There was also a surprising intervention by chocolatier Dominique Persoone, who opened eyes and ears with an inspiring story drawn from his entrepreneurial journey.
