Contemporary dance in dialogue with Portuguese heritage
Terra Cobre is a collaboration between dancer-choreographer Marco da Silva Ferreira and musician-sculptor João Pais Filipe. Together they unite dance and music in a sculptural installation and explore concepts of identity, culture and society. Inspired by the traditional sheep and cowbell art of the Portuguese region Alentejo, they reinterpret ancient cultural heritage and create a landscape full of memories, in which shepherds and their flocks converge.
