A radical adaptation of Stravinsky’s classic
Petrushka, Igor Stravinsky’s iconic ballet, tells the story of a puppet brought to life, only to subsequently experience love, jealousy and death. Michiel Vandevelde brings Petrushka to life once again: not as a tragic puppet, but as a rebellious figure. He subjects his body to AI-generated TikTok dances and, in this process, becomes the puppet himself, simultaneously rebelling against the system. An intense solo full of pop-inspired movements.
