Danced echoes of Mahler’s Fifth Symphony

Emanuel Gat draws inspiration for his new dance creation from Mahler’s Fifth Symphony. A confrontation with death and a tempestuous love affair drive the intense emotions and contrasts in the musical score. Twelve dancers bring Mahler’s emotional landscape to life in five choreographic scenes. Cinq jours au soleil navigates between darkness and light, despair and joy, tension and release.
