After last season’s feminist take on the mythical nymph, choreographer Barsacq now brings us to the Middle Ages. There she delves into the manuscripts of Kassia of Constantinople, a 9th-century nun, who is one of the earliest female composers whose scores have survived. Eight performers – dancers and singers – gather on stage to explore Kassia’s life and her forgotten works.
