Together with a technologist from MIT – the renowned Massachusetts Institute of Technology – Thai choreographer Pichet Klunchun explores how the use of AI could lead to a new form of choreography. Proceeding from a series of classical Thai dance poses, an interaction arises between dancer and machine. Reacting to the kinetic output they receive, the four live dancers control their avatars. It is an interplay of action and reaction, with a precision that references the iconic choreographer Merce Cunningham.
