How much of the animal is still alive in humans? TRACES is a hunt for remnants of nature that the body has forgotten. Vandekeybus goes back to instinctive reaction, the now moment, the imaginary catastrophe, the burst of energy that was the heartbeat of his early performances. It is a rediscovery of a vulnerable vitality, in a world brimming with technological and ecological threat. With his latest performance TRACES, Wim Vandekeybus is following his own traces...
