A bridge between ancient kung fu martial arts and contemporary dance

In Sutra Cherkaoui links the ancient kung fu, practiced by the Buddhist monks of the Shaolin Temple, with contemporary dance. Turner Prize winner Antony Gormley designed the wooden crate set. Polish composer Szymon Brzóska composed the music, which is played live. Sutra is a cultural exchange, about the old and the new China, about building and destroying, transformation and play.
