French dancer-choreographer Guilhem Chatir took his first steps in the dance world via hip hop and circus. His dance career has included participation in projects by among others Wim Vandekeybus and Akram Khan. In Ni Ni Ya Mo Mo – a reference to a lullaby from his childhood – he embraces the traces of his Arab heritage. Together with two other dancers, he explores rituals that encourage sleep: a hypnotic dance that moves between restlessness and tenderness, reality and imagination.
