Intriguing double bill: pulsating beats and 32 dancers on pointes
In Half Life – a Sharon Eyal and Gai Behar creation that was an instant hit after its 2017 premiere – the dancers of Opera Ballet Flanders are stunning. This work shows how one individual always manages to break free, no matter how compelling the group dynamic. Richard Siegal – a scion of the renowned Forsythe Company – likes to connect contemporary ballet with other art forms. In this collaboration with Opera Ballet Flanders, he is therefore assisted by installation and sound artist Zimoun.
