The meaning of love, in a moving duet
With The Love Behind My Eyes, Lebanese choreographer Ali Chahrour is our guest in Bruges for the very first time. On stage – accompanied live by a singer who performs Arabic lyrical poetry – two male dancers create beautiful tableaux vivants. Love in all its complexity, with all the associated emotions, is central. Besides sensuality and passionate abandon, the dancers embody vulnerability and a silent protest against forbidden love. A performance to cherish.
