Dancer and choreographer Jefta van Dinther previously graced our main stage in 2023 with an impressive production. Now he returns to Bruges with a dance project in which sign language takes centre stage. Mercury Rising explores the complexity of human communication. The performance incorporates various sign languages and is designed for both deaf and hearing audiences. It is based on the impossibility of fully understanding one another and the urge to connect nevertheless.
