A playful duet exploring courtly love and desire
For this performance, Bryana Fritz and Thibault Lac draw inspiration from the tradition of courtly love. They immerse themselves in the six-part masterpiece La Dame à la Licorne (The Lady and the Unicorn): a series of medieval tapestries woven in Flanders. Immortal figures such as the Lady, her maidservant and a menagerie of animal companions depict an allegory of the senses. A decadent, fairy-tale world is revealed, in which love and earthly pleasures reign supreme.
