How can you see sound spatially?
Choreographer Benjamin Vandewalle, vocal ensemble HYOID and composer Maija Hynninen have found common ground in Georges Perec's book Espèces d’espaces. In that book French author Perec takes us on a poetic, almost spiritual voyage of discovery through our everyday surroundings, spaces we usually take for granted. Le Journal d'un usager takes a similar approach. By working with sound, space and movement, this project invites audiences to experience sound spatially and thus to think about sound and space differently.
