A melting pot of beauty inspired by the biblical Song of Songs
Together with Vocalconsort Berlin and the Tunisian-Belgian singer Ghalia Benali, the 30-year-old (30!) ensemble Zefiro Torna brings East and West together once again in their acclaimed production The Allegory of Desire. The starting point is the Old Testament Song of Songs: an age-old source of inspiration for poets and composers. Dunstable, Monteverdi and Machaut are seamlessly interwoven with traditional and modern Arabic songs. An unmissable cross-pollination!
