With her Ensemble Gamut!, Finn Aino Peltomaa has devoted herself to mediaeval music for more than a decade. In this programme, she focuses on two Marys: the Virgin full of goodness and wisdom, and Mary of Burgundy with her intelligence and worldly power. Gamut! sings of them in mystical Gregorian chant, in Scandinavian folk songs and in ancient incantations from the Runic tradition. Mighty and magical Marys set to music.
