Palestinian folk dance meets contemporary, hip hop & capoeira

In 2013, Les Ballets C de la B created Badke, a dance performance with ten Palestinian dancers that toured the world. Now, more than a decade later – with the situation in Gaza more topical than ever – this repertoire is revived by two Palestinian makers. They re-choreograph the dance material and create a contemporary version of the traditional Palestinian folk dance dabke. Badke(remix) is brimming with a zest for life and the urge to dance as a positive form of resistance.
