Bach’s musical testament
Bach loved to give his finest music a new lease of life by arranging his ‘greatest hits’ for new occasions. Thus, towards the end of his life, the mighty Mass in B minor came into being. Sophisticated polyphony, monumental choruses and moving arias from Bach’s long career culminated in a compelling masterpiece.
