Mary of Burgundy had a pious love of God. She also loved polyphony. From her mausoleum in Bruges’ Church of Our Lady, she is sure to be listening along to this exceptional concert by The Tallis Scholars. They evoke the music of her day: the works of Johannes Ockeghem and Gilles Binchois regularly resounded in the churches of Bruges. Both composers were also frequent visitors to the Duchess's court.
