Through the lens of this season’s guest photographer
The Belgian Philippe Herbet photographs and writes out of a curiosity about the lives and cultures of others. For the 2026/27 season, centred on old age and wisdom, he captured the art of ageing in a positive and nostalgic light. To do so, he delved into his more recent image archives and wandered through Bruges and the Basque Country to photograph the people he happened to encounter as reflections of his own past, present and future.
