In their own inimitable way, Quatuor Diotima and shō player Naomi Sato switch between Japan and Europe, between Hosokawa and Schubert, between classical and traditional. In Hosokawa's work a strong connection with nature is a constant, and that possibly also explains his association with the music of Franz Schubert.
