Twenty dancers spanning five generations come together for a unique XL version

Rosas danst Rosas marked Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker’s international breakthrough in 1983 and was interpreted as a feminist statement. The production has since become a landmark in the history of postmodern dance. Evocations of exhaustion and perseverance create a dramatic contrast with the abstract movements and minimalism of the choreography. Since its premiere, Rosas danst Rosas has been danced nearly 500 times, and around thirty Rosas dancers have performed the work over the years. As part of this Concertgebouw season focusing on legacy and experience, twenty of them are now dancing together in a unique XL version of this iconic work. Five generations of dancers, aged 20 to 67, offer you the perfect opportunity to (re)discover this seminal piece.
