A highlight of dance history
Dance, created in 1979, is an ode to the poetry of minimalism. The performance takes you back to the very essence of dance. Together with composer Philip Glass – who is celebrating his 90th birthday this year! – Lucinda Childs created a glissando of feather-light, graceful movements that shift through the minutest of variations. The superb performance by seventeen dancers from the Lyon Opera Ballet, combined with the film by the iconic visual artist Sol LeWitt, makes Dance a breathtaking total experience.
