Get to know the fascinating Albert Einstein

Season’s Thinker Thomas Hertog shines his light on the visionary physicist and cult figure Albert Einstein. In 1915, after years of toil, Einstein published his Theory of General Relativity. This radically new description of gravity dethroned Isaac Newton. Einstein's theory of relativity is so astonishingly strange that even he had the greatest difficulty with its mysterious predictions, such as black holes, gravitational waves and not least the Big Bang.
