Hoghe transforms the waltz into a brooding ritual

In La Valse choreographer Raimund Hoghe works his magic on another iconic work from music and dance history. Following on from Sacre, Swan Lake, Boléro Variations and L'Après-midi, he has chosen this time for Maurice Ravel's La valse, from 1920. Hoghe uses both the orchestral and the piano version, performed for us live by Guy Vandromme. He also integrates other waltzes.
