Scottish revelation opens up in intimate Bach cantatas
From time to time, Bach was given texts in dialogue form for his cantatas, for the Christmas Oratorio, for example. Young Scottish Ensemble Marsyas accompany two exceptional soloists in two such conversations between Jesus and the allegorical 'faithful soul'. It couldn’t be more personal.
