A bright light in dark days
Let's begin at the beginning! Philippe Herreweghe officially opens the Academy with three of Bach's most festive works, a more than worthy tribute to Jesus's auspicious birth. The grateful joy is emphasised with trumpets and timpani, in Mary's canticle Magnificat, for instance.
