Emperor Concerto in the hands of great masters
No note too many or too few. That is how Beethoven's new symphonic style sounded to the ears of his contemporaries. Even now it is hard to resist the cast-iron musical logic of his Fourth, or the heroic discourse between a boundary-pushing piano and a forceful orchestra. With Philippe Herreweghe conducting the orchestra he moulded for Beethoven and French keyboard great Aimard on the piano, we can rest assured: this will be a veritable Beethoven feast!
