Anima Eterna Brugge has evolved from a baroque ensemble into a symphony orchestra that excels in performances on the correct historical instruments. The orchestra has been a loyal partner of the Concertgebouw literally from day one, as it played the very first notes here on 20 February 2002 at 8.02 pm. Some twenty-five years later, they open our new season with musical rainbows by Janáček and Bartók, and allow forgotten Viennese names such as Strinasacchi and Wranitzky to waltz with famous fellow citizens Mozart and Beethoven.
