Four characters – a critic, a chef, a seer and a diva – circle around a laid table, each captivated by their obsessions and self-destruction. The audience takes their seats at the table, or at least some of them do. Others float around, feasting their eyes. The meal never begins. The musical dinner crumbles apart, beauty ferments, pleasure falters. Eat Me is about hunger, about bodies and sounds that balance between lust and excess, beauty and decay. Oester brings poet Dominique De Groen, composer Jonathan Bonny, B'Rock Orchestra and performers Blandine Coulon, Romain Dayez, Linde Carrijn and Casper Clausen together at the table. In a scenography co-created by :mentalKLINIK, old music breaks open into soundscapes of the present.
