Works for three pianos and electronics
The mother of musician Mark Fell dreamed of learning to play the piano, but her dementia made complex movements impossible. That is why Fell developed blocks especially for her that form chords when placed on the piano keys. Together with pianist Kris Defoort, he and a small group of people with dementia take to the stage. Pierre Slinckx composes a new work for three grand pianos in which ideas and themes resound, fade and disappear. Only the memory remains with those who cherished the sounds.
