In This place I call home whispers fragments of secrets to me, Cince Johnston captures her five children on film, in a desire to gently cradle time, a loving need to slow it down before everything changes. As a key witness to her children’s unfolding lives, she documents them against the backdrop of her ancestral home on Île d'Orléans (Québec). In a series of portraits, she captures the deep connection, muted tensions, loneliness and exuberance of their everyday lives.
