In this place I call home whispers fragments of secrets to me, Cince Johnston captures her five children on film, in a desire to gently cradle time, a loving need to slow it down before everything changes. As a key witness to her children’s unfolding lives, she documents them against the backdrop of her ancestral home on Île d'Orléans (Québec). In a series of portraits taken during the COVID lockdown, she captures the deep connection, muted tensions, loneliness and exuberance of their everyday lives.
Photographer Cince Johnston will personally guide you through her work on Wednesday 8 April and Saturday 13 June at 2 p.m. and on Sunday 3 May at 11 a.m.
