Installation with hundreds of love song variants
For his installation LOVE SONG, Serge Verstockt collected together lots of red hearts that all had a special feature: they could record. During a whole season, he asked musicians to record a love song. As you walk through the installation, you pick a heart from the many and hold it to your ear: one to one in intimate closeness. How much meaning does a love song still hold when it has been recorded and shared? This installation brings together hundreds of unique perspectives on love, in songs from interesting artists from all over the world.
