Partying isn’t something you do on your own – it’s something you do with friends and like-minded people! Together with three dedicated musical partners, we’re joining forces for an atmospheric late-night session, spread across the Concertgebouw. Expect a mix of atmospheric, jazzy and minimal sounds from artists including Liesa Van der Aa & Femke Gyselinck, Hendrik Lasure, Use Knife, Rust, Mattias De Craene and Black Koyo. As the DJs take to the decks in the Inkomhal and Studio 1, the temperature is set to rise and we’ll be stepping up the pace!
Line-up to be announced later
Liesa Van der Aa performs tracks from her latest album, Caramel. Twenty students from the Antwerp Conservatoire of Dance are guided by Van der Aa’s pop- and jazz-infused sounds and experiment freely with Gyselinck’s lyrical dance language.
Hendrik Lasure creates Dutch-language songs that pay little heed to the boundaries between pop, jazz and cabaret. In his new album, *De Val*, everyday scenes take on a magical-realist glow. Live, his songs take on a special intensity: ranging from fragility to catharsis.
The Belgian-Lebanese-Syrian duo Rust interweaves Arabic melodies and poetry with pulsating electronic beats. Their hypnotic sound moves between tradition and experimentation, between melancholy and danceable energy. In this way, they create an intense, immersive world in which identity, memory and resistance converge.
Use Knife combines raw energy and beats with Iraqi vocals and percussion. Grinding electronics, driving beats and complex rhythms culminate in a hypnotic sound that is both danceable and unsettling.
Having taken shape during travels in Morocco and Brussels, the new project by Mattias De Craene and Black Koyo draws on the rhythms, vocals and spirit of traditional Gnawa music, combined with the depth of De Craene’s saxophone, loops and electronics.
Uma Chine takes you to a dreamlike world where man and machine, organic sounds and electronic textures converge. Ethereal vocals, enchanting harmonies and mysterious soundscapes form the building blocks of their idiosyncratic ‘dreampop’, which navigates between melancholy and psychedelic magic.
