Season’s Composer shares his joy in playing

The themes of Kris Defoort's works are born at the piano. They are the skeleton. Pianist Kris Defoort, bassist Nic Thys and drummer Lander Gyselinck provide the tendons, flesh and skin. During concerts, that body continues to grow and take shape. Balancing improvisation, composition and instant orchestration, Kris and co. imbue it with a magical energy time after time.
