World star performs own work

A composer who also sings! And how! Caroline Shaw is the experienced heroine of the small and the large, accompanied here by renowned Finnish string quartet Kamus. Together, they perform music from four different centuries: Josquin's lamento on the death of a friend, early quartet music by father Scarlatti and melancholic melodies by the ever-in-love Beethoven. And then we have Shaw's own music: grounded, layered and lovingly daring. ‘I love nothing so much as you,’ she sings.
