The birth of mankind
For his La création du monde Darius Milhaud found inspiration in an African creation myth featuring the primal gods Nzame, Medere and N'kva. A century later Stefano Gervasoni draws on the Christian God – who didn’t create man until the sixth day – in his reflection on the indifference with which mankind has treated nature. Theatre-maker Gorges Ocloo reflects on the story of stories: timeless and remote.
