Old and new on the double bass
As a member of the renowned Ensemble Musikfabrik, Florentin Ginot toured the world. And during his solo debut, he had the Philharmonie de Paris at his feet. High time then for a visit to Bruges. With virtuoso arrangements of works by Bach and his contemporaries, Ginot will flood the Chamber Music Hall. Between those tones from the depths of the strings, new work by Agata Zubel and Stefan Prins will surface. For this latter pair, the Concertgebouw once served as a musician-composer matchmaker. Find out for yourself this evening whether Prins’s premiere will be a coup de foudre.
