Elisabeth winner in immortal piano repertoire

It was not without reason that renowned conductor Hans von Bülow called Beethoven's piano sonatas 'the New Testament' of keyboard music’. His 32 sonatas are an unparalleled canon. In the corona year 2020, pianist Boris Giltburg – winner of the Queen Elisabeth International Music Competition 2013 – recorded all of Beethoven's sonatas. ‘It was as if my soul needed that contact with Beethoven,’ Giltburg recalls.
