Last season, Voetvolk – choreographer Lisbeth Gruwez and sound designer Maarten Van Cauwenberghe’s dance company – brought ten-dancer work The Sea Within to the Concertgebouw. Their latest creation Piano Works Debussy is a physical duet between dancer Gruwez and pianist Claire Chevallier. Together they explore the space between the notes in the compositions of Claude Debussy, a rebellious challenger of formal conservatism.
